Dominic Valentino Tim Williams Halfback Tackle Valentino drives for a gain against Azusa. AZUSA to sen in the second quarter, the Spartans hung on to beat Azusa and gain a tie forthe Sierra League crown. The game was a defensive duel with the Sierra de- fense holding the Aztecs in their own territory for most of the night. The Spartans, however, moved the ball well-making twice as much yardage as Azusa. Quarterback Barajas completed 7 of ll passes while Clausen averaged 39 yards on 5 punts.
