Friendship is the greatest usefulness, the most open communication, the severest truth, the heortiest counsel, otnd the greatest union of minds. First the friendship between school chums in everyday student living- HFrom quiet homes and first beginning. The most powerful and the most lasting friendships otre usually those of the early season of our lives. Friendships between loved teachers through trying yeotrs- Out to the undiscovered ends. A friend should be one in whose understanding and Virtue we con equally confide, and whose opinion we con vcdue at once for its justice and sincerity. Last but not adieu, the friendships of the class of '59 - HBut laughter and the love of friends. It is o great blessing to have friends when one is young, but indeed it is still more so when one is getting old. When young, we take friends, like everything else, ots CI matter of course. Later we know What it means to have them. Let not the friendships we have formed here at Siena fade like the setting sun.
