Cisca chairman: Cay McManaman, publicity chairman: Helen McCabe, literature zhairman: and Margaret Casey, assistant mission chairman. UHUWNING UU i UTY Looking at the calendar of the past year we find that the Sodalitys 1955 1957 schedule was both busy and excite ing. The Summer School of Catholic Action, held from August 27 to Septem- ber l, officially opened the Sodality programs. A freshman rally was sponsored on September 6 to acquaint the freshmen with the Sodality and its activities. By the second week of September the So- dality meetings were in full swing. The guest speaker, in the first allfschool as- sembly on October l, was Father Brown from St, Malachys. Harvest Heaven, the Sodality date dance, on November 21, turned out to be an outstanding suc- cess. The December assembly was dedicated to the lmmaculate Concep- tion and to Mother Catherine McAuley on the 125th anniversary of the found- ing of the Mercy Crder. Father Flan- nery was guest speaker, December also brought the Sodality food drive for the Little Sisters of the Poor, toys for St. Malachy's and many blessings for these gifts. On February 22, eight So- dality officers viewed the pace-setting fashions at the SDS Fashion Show in the Sheraton. One of the highlights of the year was the W.C.A.C. Convention in Milwaukee. Vocations was the theme of Father O'Hara's talk in the March assembly. Reception into the Sodality, the giving away of officers and the traditional crowning concluded the year. F th Fl O Mary we crown thee with G er cmnery blossoms today . . . sing the Ffifhef O'HCYU student body as Sodality pre- iect, Ann Mueller, places the crown of flowers on the statue. Attendants, Kay Brosnahan and Mary Di Orio stand near.
