fsomeone asked you to name aii of the positive aspects of Siena at the top of the list may be things like the peopie, the parties and numerous other activities. The faculty and administration may be on the list but usually not the first people to come to mind. Think about it for a minute. The professors at Siena are pretty spe- cial people. Many of them are saints in their own right just for dedicating their lives to teaching. The teachers at Siena go out of their way to help their students. There is a sense that they really care. They are available for academic help but also for a lot more. Many teachers piay duai roles as coaches. mentors, or just friends. Next time you want to compiain about a lousy grade just stop and remem- ber all that the professors have given you. Thank them for being there and for preparing us for the future. They've heard every excuse in the book. Next time sur' prise them and say, ttThanks! You're a saint! Above: Don't make us go to class! Right: Four penguins aii in a row Opp. Top: Bobts got a hold of Lisa Opp. Middle: Please tell me its Halloween! Opp. Far Right: Watch out here it comes! Opp. Bottom: You talking to me? WM 10 . We have received a great many gifts from God and from one another. There is also one thing that we did not receive this year to any great extent. Yes, it was snow. Quite a change from last winterts record 90 inches to this season's lack of precipi- tation, It can be taken as both a blessing and a curse. There was no major snow so no one had to dig their cars out too many times and it didntt reach artic temperatures often either. On the other hand, there were no extra days off on account of snow, the ski slopes were a little slow and there was little, if any, traying on the golf course. No matter what the weather condi- tions are, the fire at Siena stays a glow and shines for the world to see. I ooking back at this year we can remember many things that we have al' 12 . Opening
