And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could T0 where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the othert as jusc as fair . . . Oh! I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I shOuld ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood. and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. A nine game winning streak ended the 1982 Lacrosse season to leave the team with a 9-1 record. Coach Russ Ferris was expecting to take his lumps during the season, but much to his surprise, those lumps never arrived! The highlight of the season came when Siena took its 2-1 record on the road as they travelled to Long Island to play CW. Post College. Senior Don Krause scored the winning goal at 1:38 of overtime as Siena defeated the Division I CW. Post team, 10-9. Freshman Chris Baldwin chalked up 44 points and led the team with 20 assists, while Don Krause led the team with 32 goals. Goalie Bob Hutchina son ended the season as the number one Division I goalie in the nation. 205 Spring Weekend 206 207 Spring in Israel Eretz Israel meant little more than a place on the map hal f the world away as twenty- -three stalwart Siena students-oiall-ages boarded the Greyhound Charter bus in front Of Siena Hall on Marcy 12, 1982. Destination: Israel. Purpose: an international studies pro- gram. Sponsor: Siena Colleges Niebuhr Institute of Religion and Culture. Tour Director: Dr. David Bossman, O.F.M. The study tour focused on the land of the Bible as the land holy to jews, Christians and Moslems. The tour encompassed a cross section 0fthe territory, archeological digs, religious shrines, historic locations and inspirational contexts for a holistic understanding of the land ofIsrael as the Holy Land. The tour took time to aquaint the visitor with some aspects of life in modern Israel, as witness to the living traditions of peoples of the three great religions which regard the land as holy. Upon returning to Siena, the motto was simple: Triple T's this year tterminally tired touristsT; back to Israel next year! We all had experienced the fastest, most memorable and deeply insightful ten- days of our lives. 208 The Grand F inale 209 The Last Ride 210 211 iHnrtg-mwnh Annual Glnmmmrement Attiuitiea mag 32 anh 23, 1232 212 Graduation Weekend ,82 began with a Beer and Banjo night for the parents and graduates. This evening of festivities, sponsored by the Senior Class, was a great success. Everyone enjoyed the banjo music of performers Mike and Ike in the Siena tradition. Mike Decker C8D joined the musicians on stage for a set, leading everyone in song. Mike's sense of humor and style of music was appreciated by all. The night was alot of fun and when the lights came on no one wanted to leave. It was an auspicious Start to one of the most important events in the life of each graduating Senior. 215 The Celebration continued on Saturday with the Baccalaureate Liturgy and Awards Cere- monies.
