DCTIVITIES es, seven friars built a dream, a dream of enriching the lives of those who were willing to be dreamers with them. Some say ifs foolish to believe in dreams, but perhaps they are fools - for what man does not have a dream? Any vision large or small is worthwhile if you strive to achieve it,- it becomes even more precious if you are willing to share it. A dab of knowledge from- one, a splash of creativity from another, and the dream is already coming alive. You begin to realize that each spectrum. of the rainbow has beauty - the blending together of all the colors makes the whole infinitely more captivating. , Activities and organizations are one component of the rainbow that makes it possible to keep the dream of Siena alive. Each person has his own special gift to offer whether it be working on the Student Senate to change school policies, or creating a hit of magic in a Little Theatre production. F rom your individual perspective, it may be hard to see the overall meaning of the activity you ire involved in. Sometimes the frustrating moments seem more memorable . . . the panicky feeling at INDIAN layout when itis 1 AM and there are twenty five inches of blank space left and no copy to fill it . . . getting up at 11 AM. to sing at folk mass after a rough Saturday night at the Rat . . . rehearsing a scene at dress rehearsal for the hundredth tseems like it, anyway time with terror in the back of your mind that yowre going to have laryngitis on opening night . . . losing an election by ten votes . . . In retrospect, you ,ll remember the productive, happy moments of the activities that compose one hue of the Siena rainbow. The beauty of the color is enhanced as everyone realizes his or her worth and begins to share it. Working together, sharing , together, learning from each other, the individuals collectively give their activity a unique importance.
