The Safety Patrol boys lead busy lives trying to keep our potential traffic criminals in tow. Whether rain or shine, sleet or snow, they can always be found on the job braving the weather to fur- ther the cause of safety. They really are a few of the Y-Teen girls as they appeared in the assembly-Letitia Clawson, Martha Drake, Betty jo Cox, Janice Coverstone, Mary Ann Given, Diane Doll, Janet Wilt, and jane Hover. The Senior Y-Teens and Senior Hi-Y lead a busy, enjoyable existence at Sidney High. Each is an organization whose main purpose is service to others. THE Y-TEENS raise money by selling pop- corn and potato chips to hungry spectators at home football games. In service to various or- ganizations in Sidney, they sell poppies and ban- gles on Saturdays to raise money for worthy causes. At Thanksgiving and Christmas they help needy families. Each year the girls put on an assembly. This year's Dixieland Revue of- fered everyone an opportunity to put her talents to use. G. C. Murphy Princebouse Electric SENIOR HI-Y is closely associated with the YMCA. The boys sell football programs at home games, and also operate a concession stand for basketball games. They help needy families at Christmas and Thanksgiving. On the lighter side they enjoy gym nights and swimming at the Y in Piqua. Each organization has its own hayride late in October or November. But the really big night for all is the Y-Formal. The guys and gals team up to make this a big success. And when the night finally arrives, all keep step to the mu- sic of well-known bands.
