Wfith the fall of the gavel the defendants doom is sealed! Sentenced to two weeks' detention for traffic violations, he now has time to recall his fateful moments of trial. Rushing through his memory like a hazy fog, crowd his misdeeds-running across the street, failing to obey a traffic signal, and riding double on a bicycle. The first offense had brought only a warning. Then came the second time. After receiving a ticket from a safety patrol boy and a court summons, he found himself being taken into the court room by the bailiff, Ralph Abbott, to face judge Mike Boller. But there's always one sure way to be on your toes and be prepared for the little dif- ficulties that come your way each day-visit Sidney High School library the next time you are in want of some exact information. This last year new steel shelving has been added to the library for the surplus book supply. Some new reference books have been purchased for the needs of the students. There are also many interesting career books for preparing the students for future years. At the present time there are ap- proximately 6,550 books in the school library. Under the able supervision of Miss Adda Hert, the librarian, and the library assistants, the work of the library is carried on. These library assistants are Susan Barker, Yo- landa Hanauer, Brenda Mougey, Wfilla Chadwell, Rebecca Ball, Sally Longbrake, Alice Austin, Betty Anderson, Jean Clark, Barbara Barthauer, Ruth Ann Garrett, Jo Ann Anderson, Joyce Ringler, Linda Hudson, Ilene Gates, Judy Beckerdite, Jodelle Blackston, Joyce Beemer, and Jean Kauffman.
