K PROM ROYALTY . . . Jim Wells, Queen Marcia Whitman, King Bob Zimpher. and Sarah Friend pose for a formal photograph. ENTERTAINMENT FIT FOR A KING AND QUEEN . . . Nancy Clark, Diane Blake, and Mary Ann Given sing during the intermission at the prom. One of the biggest events in the lives of the juniors and seniors is the junior-Senior Prom. Sometimes this even proves to be the saddest night of the year for the seniors who are attending their last big dance at Sidney High School. Most of them, however, leave with the hope that they have done their best to make their days and the days of the underclassmen the happiest ever spent in high school. Last year the students really danced in a mirage when they whirled to the music of the Keynotes at The Blue Mirage. Bob Zimpher and Marcia Whitman reigned as the King and Queen of the 1956 prom, and they were escorted to their places at the throne by Sarah Friend and james Wells. During the intermission while the refresh- ments were being served, the junior girls' trio composed of Mary Ann Given, Diane Blake, and Nancy Clark sang several selections. The enter- tainment committee presented a short skit, which they had written, portraying the future lives of some of the seniors.
