W'e're madly for Adlaif' These slogans were heard around SHS halls be- fore the National Presidential election. The senior civics classes held a mock elec- tion on November Z for everyone in school. The seniors under the able leadership of Glenn Apple and the guidance of Miss Owens, the spon- sor, carried on the election according to the rules set up by the State Election Board. Polls were set up in the girls' gym, the li- brary, and two in the boys' gym. Official booths, ballot boxes, and sample ballots were used. The students voted on national, state, and local of- ficers, also the school bond issue, and the com- bining of the common pleas and the probate courts. This voting was an excellent experience for the students since they will be the future voters of America. Most of this year's seniors will be of voting age when the next Presidential elec- tion takes place. 11 MISS OLIVE OWENS ASSISTS GLENN APPLE in making the ar- rangements for the mock election.
