In the spring of every year energetic students may be seen completely absorbed with chemistry manuals, old English tests, or perhaps French drill pads. They are preparing with concen- trated study for an elimination test. The students having the three highest scores in each test go to Miami University to take the State Scholarship Tests. The competition is always very strong. Each year the seniors participate in the Senior Scholarship Test conducted by the State Department of Education. The test in- cludes the five general subjects: mathematics, English, history, science, and reading. These tests help stimulate in students a desire for further knowledge and bring to light hidden abilities.
