In the upper picture on the opposite page the members ol the Football Mother's Club are hard at work in the kitchen of the Masonic Temple. The mothers served a delicious meal to a capacity crowd at the annual lootball banquet on November 21. At this banquet twelve seniors were given a fond farewell. Charles Mather. head football coach at Massillon High School, was guest speaker at this great school and civic affair. The mothers served meals to the boys belore almost all of the basketball games-whether at home or away-and after all oi the home football games. ln the picture at the lower left two senior pranksters are shown being mischievous while supposedly studying a tough assignment. The scalawags are lim Getrost and Iohn Conner, and the studious soul in the right back- ground is Frank Schlaqetter. At the lower right our Sidney High School students are shown at the big pep meeting held the night before Sidney's first MVL encounter against Piqua, our traditional rival. The six cheerleaders supervised the cheer-happy football fans as they burned a dummy Piqua lndian in elfigy and had a snake dance through town. In the picture below Dick Conrad, president oi the Class ol 1949, Shirley Shaffer, Charles Brown, iunior class president of the Class oi 1950, and Mar- lene Doll are shown leading the grand march at the l949 Prom.
