CLASS Mr. Arthur Long was guest speaker at the traditional senior banquet on the first day of spring, March 21. His topic was What Can Be Gained by Travel- ing. Preceding his talk, a delicious din- ner of baked ham, frozen peas, parsley new potatoes, salad, hot rolls, and apple pie a la mode was served in Duncan's Tavern. After the banquet a clever program, games, and dancing were enjoyed in Gannon's Gang Room. On the right is shown a scene from the l945 junior play entitled, Who ls Mrs. Chimpsie? From left to right, seat- ed around the table, are Barbara Ordean, John Maurer, Allegra Riefstahl, Bob Lynch lstandingl, Dorothy Earl, Bob Bulle, Polly Slagle. The play was pre- sented April 5 and 6, l945, in the Sid- ney High School auditorium. lmmediately below are pictured chairmen of the various senior com- mittees. These committees function in carrying out numerous senior projects. Left to right, seated, are Rex Jackson, Class Memorial, Jeanne Studevant, Sen- ior Chapel, Katy Young, Caps and Gowns, Pat Milligan, Senior Banquet. Left to right, standing, are Sondra Ruese, Invitations, Miriam Roth, Flower Fund, Allegra Riefstahl, Annual Investigation, Mildred Garrison, Colors and Flower. Last but not least, is our jovial senior class president, Chuck Cartwright. In the picture at the right Chuck was deeply en- grossed in typing committee lists.
