Having devel' oped SNL-ll an intense fondness for Point of Rocks, we followed the trail laid in our sophomore your und went puttfputting out to nun' more deeply tlic old picnic grounds. We elected Pam Kinne to map out the senior course, and help us abide by traffic laws, Donna Doran and Doyle Butts moved from vice president to president of Pep Club and Sffllub respectively. Despite the claims of nhighfway robbery by the underclassmen, the four cheerleaders were chosen from the senior class. We put up a billfboard an' nouncing for November 4, the senior Sadie Hawke ins' dance, first of its kind at our high school. The two costume prizes also went to seniors. juniors failed to take advantage of their only chance to rule the dear old Alma Mater when they were un' successful in attempts to remove our class flag on Senior Sneak Day. lvfaybe this was because some of the juniors boys sneaked toolll Smoothies at the Senior Coilllion are Kaywood lchn-- son and Ioan Pierson. Myrna Planck and Homer Lewis. Marilyn Krelz and Ksith Rihn. junior Seevers and Doyle Butts were elected honorary football captains of the '47948 team. Members of the committees worked diligently to make a success of the Christmas Cotillion which featured, for the first time, a dance band. .lo Draper and Doyle Butts were elected king and queen from a well chosen group of senior nom- inees also including lvlyrna Planck, Ruth Living- ston, 'lack Fisher and junior Seevers. A wellffilled treasury did away with financial worries for the Trail staff, as we started our arduf ous task last fall. Various scholarship tests, inf cluding the Regents, were given to some students in the upper fourth of the class this spring. As is customary, senior girls and women faculty sponf sors were entertained at a spring tea given by the l',E O. Spring banquets, picnics, track meets and other closing school activities helped make more mem' orics for us seniors as we near the spot in the trail from whence we go our separate ways. Page 21
