In the Battle of the Halloween parade they had the highest percentage for attendance. They marched in formation representing Sidney's history past and present. They won three medals. They combined their talent as chefs and cooked chow for the chest x-ray staff. To give camp life some Christmas spirit, some of the soldiers of the division presented a Christmas Program featuring two plays, Bible readings, and carols. CHQW FOR ALL Army life has its culture, too. Francis Flint, Patricia Bazata, and Janet Glasner received recognition for their poems by the National High School Poetry Association. They were helped through the year by Secretary Nancy Villecco and Treasurer Arlene Loudon. Before attempting this drill, they were first put through an obstacle course inflicted by the 10th division. Some of the penalties were measuring the length of main street, copying names off of grave stones, and counting cars coming in from enemy territory, Binghamton, Oneonta, Unadilla, and Bainbridge. February 2, 1952, the Ninth Division was in charge of chow at the Battle of Cooperstown, fought on home territory. h Virtues in a lsaoldier are necessary requirements to fsucceed. Secretary Kalma Chase and Treasurer Joanne Holmes kept the records of the division in order even through the burst of bombs. The mess crew of the division held a bake sale at Whitaker's on December 15, 1951. This proves the capa- bility of the crew to turn out delicious and delectable foods. Again they marched forward and presented a dance which was held in the spring. Division recreation is as important as Combat Duty. The following soldiers of the Tenth Army Division were elected by unanimous vote. Leading the squad in popularity were Stephen Tacea and Ethel Hellerude. Voted best looking were Bruce MacDonald and Joanne Holmes. Keeping the division in good spirits, Stephen Tacea and Prudence Clarke were voted wittiest. fly .ow 5 X ri ARMY MILK SUPPLY Pfc.
