The council is composed of representatives from the Junior and Senior high school homerooms with Miss McEwan and Mr. Wade as ad- visors An assembly was presented before the high school every other month with the first begun in October An account of Caz enovia was given at this assembly An other assembly was given in December to Red Cross tell the students of the Red Cross Blood Program. The guest speaker was Mrs. Cicely Dodd, Executive Secretary of the Cooperstown Red Cross Chapter. Also in December, members of the Glee Club went to the Delhi County Home to distri- bute gifts given by the students. She is here as the student teacher on the Honor Society sponsered Student Teaching Day. ational Honor Society CHE first regular meeting of the Honor Society was held to elect officers for the first semester. Those elected were: lean Kellerman, Presidentg Marylyn Mang, Vice-Presidentg and janet Ellis, Secretary. The customary Christmas tea was held for past members on December 22. About 25 attended. ' A tutoring system was set up by the society for all students who needed help. Student teaching day was sponsored as usual. In addition to teachers, the places of principal and guidance director were filled on February 28. Another of the many tasks which the Hon or Society undertook was concerning the home basketball games. S-X ANET Ellis, accompanist for chorus receives some instruction from Mr Clark Glcc Club C HE Glee Club, under the direc- tion of Mr. Charles Clark, num- bers one hundred and fifty students from grades nine through twelve. A half-unit of regents credit is given for two days a week of re- hearsal, plus appearance in all the major public performances of the Chorus. At Christmas the Chorus pre- sents its annual Vesper Service.
