Jlflazh Street af Sclzzfvl Day C QM AIN Street, like other terms, has different meanings. You might think of it as the business section in any community, large or small, where the necessary business transactions are carried on from day to day. We think of our Main Street as the central route through school where we be- gin many of our educational and social functions. We learn to read and write, spell and think, win and lose, make-a-friend and be-a-friend, and we learn something of what our lives in the future will require of us when one day we reach the big intersections that take us out on the main street of the community. Main Street of School Days Come along now - on a journey along our main street. We have a good-sized business section here at Sidney Central, we are proud of it, too, and we have been spending years on it. Forty weeks a year, five days a week, six hours a day, thirteen years of a lifetime. It is not the time or the effort that matters most. We have learned to judge values here. Almost upon our first shopping tour we learned that this business of going to school is largely a matter of give-and -take-not give your money and take your goods, as it is in reality up the block a ways, but give the best you have as an individual, and receive, in return, the benefits' of the knowledge and training of others. Main Street of the community The opening section of The Reflector is de- voted to the administration, faculty and curricu- lum of our school. It has been labeled Central Service Station for it is through our teachers and classes that our needs are met and services rendered. The Senior Section comes under the heading of Specialty Shop for the graduates-to-be are the school's prize treasures. Following the Seniors are the remaining classes, from grades seven to eleven-our De- partment store. Most communities have their recreational centers, we, too, have ours. The activities sponsored within the school provide entertain- ment, relaxation and enjoyment in many fields of concentration. Our Calendar Factory closes the cover of this year's publication. It previews and re- views the major events that take place in a school year. Here at Number Ten Pleasant Street we find a community in miniature and we learn that the more we improve the performance of our associations in school, the more we, in our turns, will build better Main Streets all over the world.
