ANN ,sv- his' MRS MATTES MRS Esriis MRS MOBLEY CLASS HISTORY fContmued from Page 101 training clas This year we gained Louie Walker Billy Bob Hunter Bob Swisher Helen Davis Betty jones and Don Glasgow Seniors at last' For nigh on to thirteen years we have struggled to reach this goal We have wun many laurels during this year For example immy Myers was elected a Honorary Captain of the Homecoming Football game with Virginia Adle as Homecoming Queen In the Home coming Parade our huge pink and white float to k Brst place due to many helpful suggestions from our sponsor Iohn Lanham Next came the YTeen Carnival with each class striving to elect their candidates for King and Queen of the Carnival The seniors as u ual rose to meet the occasion They had to shuck corn at midnight the night before and 5 O0 the morning of the Carnival to do it though It was worth the effort howe cr for that night our candidates Tommy Wilkie and Pat Perry were crowned King and Queen of the YTeen Carnival These were only a few of the outstanding accompli h clam speech athletics dramatics and many others This year we gained Darrell Harpole Evelyn Smith David Mather and john Mullennax We lost Betty Henry and also David Mather who enll ted in the Marine The number graduating is twenty six of which there are lust nine of the original twenty nine who have completed the full thirteen years of school in Sidney These are Virginia Adle Rosalee Barnard Phxllis Ben nett Ronald Fletcher Rosemarie Golden Davey Hard man llmmy 'vlyers and Barbara Wilson For many of us this the lat lap of our educational career while others of us are going on to college Wherever we may roam be it ever so humble theres no place like Sidney High School ! 3 B f M A if it ff!-f..
