HOME ECONOMICS For two hours a day, six weeks a semester, three-and-one-half to five year old children attend pre-school in Miss Meldahl’s child psychology class. The purpose is for high school students to “learn to work with children, observe, and learn to lead children,” according to Miss Meldahl. Playing games, doing musical activities, and working with arts and crafts are some of the activities in which the children participate. The cost is five dollars for the parents of the preschoolers. This covers the cost of the snacks that are served. When asked if the children enjoy the preschool, Miss Meldahl replied, ‘There’s always one child that doesn’t want to participate, but it doesn’t take long for him to join in.”
