Many memories we will have of its halls. Memories of school affairs such as: athletics, music, plays ,classes, trips, graduation, romance, parties, the hurried conference in the hall between classes, grades, new courses, new teachers, summer vacations and many more. Yes we will have many memories of our school, Sibley High School. Some of the things we have done we will want to forget, but these are few indeed. We are very proud to have graduated from this school and all it means to us. We, the seniors of 1967 wish to give our thanks to the Parents, School Board, Administration and Faculty. The 1966-1967 Generals Basketball Team compiled a 15-6 record, the best that has been achieved for Sibley in the past nine years. Sibley had nine Wins and five losses in the Lakes Conference, which put the Generals in a tie for second place. The school and com- munity Were very proud of this record, When the tournament time came, hopes Were high for a trip to state, The Generals squeaked past Hartley and Went on to defeat Melvin and Little Rock, but were snuffed out in the final moments of play by the Spirit Lake Indians, a team Sibley had defeated twice during the season. This brought an abrupt finish to a successful season. Several players received honors for their performance during the season, DeVan Janssen Was elected captain by the team. DeVan and Kirk Huisenga were also given hon- orable mention to the all-conference. John Massa was named to the First Team All Con- ference, the only unanimous selection, He was also chosen for three all-area teams and also the DES MOINES REGISTER 7th Team All-State. THE EDITORS A FINAL MOMENT TO REMEMBER We've spent four years studying our lessons, carrying our texts, competing for honors, encouraging our teams, singing and playing in concerts, dancing a dance, acting in a play. Graduation Day, May 25, culminated these events, but the memories will live forever. Dr. Clarence J. Forsberg emphasized in his Commencement Address that today's youth must be limber, loving, and a little looney. John Massa and Judy Walton led 69 seniors to the stage decorated with blue and White crepe paper accented with yellow roses. Senior Triple Trio lt's a time for joy, A time for tears, A time we'll treasure Through the years-- We'll remember always Graduation Day. TODAY OUR HIGH SCHOOL, TOMORROW OUR ALMA MATER W TIE?
