UR high school education might be compared to the first act of a broadway play., The first act really prepares the audience for the finale. So too, with our high school education, for it prepares us for the future and teaches us to be good citizens. Little do we, the senior class, realize the influence of the administrators upon our future. Mr. Panas has perhaps been the most influential because all along the way he has given us helpful hints and examples in building this necessary foundation. Although Mr. Taylor, our principal, and Mr, Vogt, our vice principal are relatively new in Shrub Oak School, they have neverthe- less played an important part in our development., Mr., Taylor has al- ways discussed students' problems with us, and frequent chats with both counselors have not been uncommon. Mr. Vogt, our vice principal, but more important, our guidance counselor, has advised us on many occasions throughout our senior year. For some of us, Shrub Oak School will be the last step in our for- mal education, and now as the curtain falls, we would like you to know that we have humbly appreciated all your efforts in guiding us through school, Connecting links be- tween the Board of Ed- ucation, the Administra- tors, members of the faculty, the students and all school person- nel are our school sec- retaries, Mrs. Douglas Trend and Miss Ruth Germack. To them we all bring our jobs , big and small, which keep our school suc- cessfully ffperkingu a- long day by day. Like the prompters at a play rehearsal, they are al- ways on hand to see that the many scenes make up the act, and the acts combine to make the play, our school, a finished production.
