S Munson N Lessard, W WoodruH D Walent G Fuller M Molloy S Degon E Anderson C After much preparatlon Clee Club IS Host to ll D1SlflCl Concert Our school glee club 18 composed of forty elght mem bers who form a close knlt unlt of frlendlmess and co operatlon Under thenr director Mr Louls Vella they have mamtalned a peak of quahty throughout the past year whlch we have wltnessed on numerous occasions First thmg on the agenda for the glee club was the electron of officers ln September The vote was close but the olhcers finally elected were President Steven Mun son Vlce President Sandra Mleket, Secretary Con stance Allen freasurer Deborah Black, Llbrarlans Donna Miller Dlanne Wfalent Constance Allen, Man agers Robert Carlson, Wllllillll Parmenter The first opportumty to hear the group slug was at the Thanksgxvlng Day assembly and this was followed less than a month later by the lnsplrmg Chrxstmas con cert the hx hlrght of the year Next the band and glee club COIlllJll'lCd agam to help us usher ln the sprmg season wlth thur Pop s concert We heard a varlety of IllllSlC sacred selections Negro splrltuals patrlotle se lectlons folk tunes barber shop and selections from Broadway musicals We were proud lndeed to hear later that our glee club and band were muted to perform for our neighbor Northboro Regional Hugh School The Memorial Day assembly brought to a close a great season of publlc performances for the glee club members but before they put away their robes they helped the school say farewell to the ,raduatmg class The biggest events ln the ln es of the glee club mem bers were the ALL DISTRICT concert whlch was held ln our new audltorxum and the ALL STATE concert held ln the Worcester Audltorlum We had many mem bers representlng us m both events, but we were espe cially fortunate to have nlne of our members accepted ln the state finals They were Gall Fuller, Dianne Wa lent Deborah Black Carolyn Hallgren Lorna Peck Stephen Munson Bradley Fleld Larry Pnee, and Stan ley Wood Rehearsmg for Christmas Programs lol ' . . .
