OFFICERS EMBARKED TROOPS Major Davicl Ii. Workman Major David E. Workman was born on l May 1952 in Chelsua, Mass. He graduated from Bowdoin College, in Brunswick and Economics. lle entered the Marine Corps through the Platoon Leaders Class program, and was commissioned on 5June 1975. Upon graduation from The Basic: School, he proceeded to Supply School and report- ed tothe 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing IMAWI as the Marine Wing Support Group Supply Officer and Fiscal Officer from January 1977 to June 1979. In June 1979, he reported to the 5rd Marine Division in Okinawa, as the lst Tracked Vehicle Battalion Supply and Fiscal Officer. Upon return to COHUS, he was reassigned to the 2nd MAW in August 1980. While reassigned to the 2nd MAW in August 1980. While attached to the Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron Two, he served on the Wing Supply Staff as the Wing Marine Corps Property Oflicer and Supply Management Analysis Team Leader until August 19815. While at 2nd MAW, he obtained a Masters of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. Following graduation from Logis- tics Officer Course at Little Creek, VA, he was assigned to Marine Wing Support Group 27 as the Ground Supply and Fiscal Officer. He then attended the Logistics Executive Development Course at Fort Lee, VA, graduating in December 1984. He was then reassigned to Headquarters Battalion, Marine Logistics Base, Albany, GA, for duty with the Marine Corps Central Design and Programming Activity as Head, Contracts Branch within Application Engineering Division and as Contracting Officers Techni- cal Representative for the Inventory Management Contract until reassignment to 2nd Force Service Support Group tSSGl in July 1988 as the Logistics Officer for Second Supply Battalion. ln November 1988 he was assigned to MEU SSG-26. Major Workman's personal decorations include the Plavy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal.
