COMAL4 D MA TER CHIEF 130 MAY 2006 TO PRESENT, Master Chief Herbert L. Gregory enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1978 and received recruit training at RTC San Diego, CA. and then attended Photographic lntelligenceman CPTJ UA school at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colorado. He senfed onboard USS ENTERPRISE CCVAN 655 April 1974 to June 1977 as an imagery analyst and conducted operations throughout the Pacific and Indian Ocean theaters, including the evacuation of Saigon in 1975. During this period his rate changed to Intelligence Specialist QISJ and he was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer. He then separated from active Naval service in June 1977 as an IS2 and joined a Naval Control of Shipping Naval Reserve unit in Spokane, WA until August 1982 when he rejoined the active Navy as an IS1. He served aboard USS PELELIU CLHA 53 from September 1982 to March 1985 as the Joint Intelligence Center Work Center Supervisor. He then went limited duty to the Fleet Intelligence Training Center, San Diego until April 1986 where he served as an instructor and earned his Master Training Specialist Qualification. This was followed by a tour of duty as an air analyst at the Fleet Ocean Surveillance Intelligence Facility, Kami Seya Japan from June 1986 to July 1989. He reported aboard USS CARON QDD 9705 for a tour of duty as an independent duty Intelligence Specialist from September 1989 to September 1992 including a deployment during Operation DESERT STORM. During this tour he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Qualification. His next assignment was at the Fleet Ocean Surveillance Facility, Rota Spain from October 1992 to October 1995. In 1993 he was promoted to Senior Chief and his duties included: Bosnian Air Analyst, supporting Operations DENY FLIGHT and SHARP GUARD, Command Senior Chief, and Operations Leading Chief. He reported aboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN QCVN 723 in November 1995 and subsequently was promoted to Master Chief in April 1996. He served as the Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer until May 1998. He then senfed as Command Master Chief of the Fleet Intelligence Training Facility, San Diego. During this tour he was selected for the Command Master Chief program and graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 92 and was subsequently assigned as Command Master Chief of USS FIFE tDD 9911 from September 2000 until her decommissioning 28 February 2003. During his tour USS FIFE conducted two Counter Narcotics deployments and a UNITAS in the Southern Pacific. He was then selected to serve as Command Master Chief at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, Fallon, Nevada where he served until April 2006. Master Chief Gregory reported aboard USS SHOUP QDDG 861 in May 2006 as Command Master Chief. Master Chief Gregory's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal ftwo awardsl, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal ffour awardsj, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal Cthree awardsj, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Good Conduct Medal fseven awardslg Expert Marksman friflejg Expert Marksman fpistoll and various unit awards. 7

l CQMMA D MA TER CHIE QJUNE 2oo1 TO so MAY zoooi E4 Master Chief Terry Sawhill was born in North Hollywood, California and enlisted in the Navy's Delayed Entry T Program in February of 1976. He began Active Duty on 19 - August of that same year from the Los Angeles MEPS. His first assignment was to Recruit Training in San Diego D California, with follow on HM 'A' school also in San Diego. His shore duty stations have been, Naval Submarine Medical Center, Groton, Connecticut, Naval School of Health Sciences, San Diego, Naval Regional Medical Center, San Diego, Naval Hospital, Millington Tennessee, . Navy Recruiting District, Seattle, Washington and Commander, Naval Surface Group Pacific Northwest, in Everett Washington. His sea duty and overseas ' assignments have included USS KITTY HAWK QCV 635, USS FORD CFFG 545, Force RECCN and Medical Battalion, 3rd Force Service Support Group, Fleet Marine , Force Pacific, Okinawa, Japan and Combat Service , l Support Group ONE, Twenty-Nine Palms, California. NEC's achieved by Master Chief Sawhill are 9580, Command Master Chief, 8452, Advanced Radiologic Technologist and 8404, Fleet Marine Force Field Medical Service Technician. His civilian education includes an AS degree in Applied Medical Science. He is also a nationally registered technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Master Chief Sawhill is authorized to wear the Meritorious Service Medal, two awards, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, six awards, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, two awards, the Battle seven Good Conduct awards, Expert Pistol and Rifle shot medals and various other group and campaign awards. He wears the breast insignia of a Surface Warrior and also carries the i Fleet Marine Force warfare designator. Master Chief Sawhill is married and resides in Everett, Washington with his wife and two sons. 2 I 6
