J ANUARY- 4-Braves massacre Filer again! 7-Freshmen have big ice skating party, but the upperclassmen seemed to enjoy it just as much as the Fresh- men. 14-National Assembly brought Ted Parkinson to S. H. S. with many unusual tales of India. 14-Victorious again! This time its the Camas Prairie boys. 17-Glenns Ferry comes out on top in an over-time game with us. 20-Lots of hustling and last minute cramming give indications of the end of the semester and semester tests. 21-A few members make trip to Twin Falls for another pre-band clinic practice. 21-Indians have second triumph over Bellevue. 22--Sophomores give a class party in the gym for two departing classmates. 24-Indians take Wendell Trojans down with a 54-45 lead. 25-Nampa Bulldogs invade Indian territory but go home with their heads drooping, 40-35. 28-Indians make Hailey Wolverines howl to the tune of 42-26. 31-Nine members of the band take in the Rupert Band Clinic. FEBRUARY- 4--Hailey deefated again by a large margin. 6-Band gives concert in auditorium, all of which proved to be very successful. 11--Entertainment is furnished students by Jerome High School Band. 11-Shoshone tromps Gooding, 42-35. 12-Van Cavel gave us some glimpses of Holland in a National Assembly. 12-Big day for Juniors-class rings arrive! 13-Band goes to Gooding and Jerome for exchange assemblies. 14-Our Glee Club goes to Vocal Clinic at Buhl. 19-20-21-Shoshone host to Fairfield. Richfield and Dietrich Tournament and carries off top honors. 27-28-Indians journey to Kimberly for District Class B Tournament. Glenns Ferry defeats boys in first game by three pointsg and Heyburn hands Shoshone its second defeat in a hard fast game. MARCH- 7-Three-act play, Life Begins at Sixteen, presented by Junior Class turned out to be a big success with net profits of about 8102. 11--Visitors Day with refreshments served in Home Ec room for visitors. 11-Jim Fowler of Boise gave talk on Education to Student Body. 14-15-16-Seniors took over Salt Lake City in their annual Senior Sneak! 28-Belbert Harter entertains students in last of National Assemblies. APRIL- 11-Girls make up for lost time by asking boys to the Sadie Hawkins Dance. Ah ha!! 18--Student Council sponsors carnival to make money for Student Body-big success! 23-24-Band goes to band contest in Twin Falls and come home with many awards. 25--Juniors try to outdo Seniors on the annual Junior Prom. The theme was How Are Things in Glocca Morra and Wayne Skeem furnished the music. MAY- 2-All school operetta, Ask the Professor, brings realization of many students with excellent talent for singing!! 11-Baccalaureate Services. 12-SHOSHONIAN is received by students, and it is agreed that it is the best in several years. 15-Seniors gradate wtih best wishes for the future. 22-At last! The students packed up their odds and ends and left the Halls of Torture for a long summer vacation.
