Thorne Class History In the year of 1935, eight of the present seniors gaily entered the halls of Lincoln School to start our climb up the steps of education. In 1943 the same eight, with the addition of twenty-eight other members graduated from the eighth grade, facing unafraid their high school career. Our first year in high school we elected Darrell Hansen president, Oscar Stompson vice-pres- identg and Arlene Nebeker, secretary and treasurer. Richard Warburton and Clara Boeisger were our class representatives. Mr. Elmer Ed dington was our class advisor this year. In 1944, thirty-four of us returned to bravely face the future. Dick Andreasen was elected as our president, Boyd Young, vice-president, and Ruth Hall, secretary and treasurer. Margie Green and Oscar Stimpson were our class representatives. Mrs. Agnes Eddington was our advisor. When we entered the halls of learning in 1945 there were twenty-nine in our class. Oscar Stimpson was elected president, Evert Payton, vice-president, and Arlene Nebeker, secretary and treasurer. Our advisor was Mr. Harrell Thorne. The big event of the Junior year was the Junior Prom, April 12, 1946. Our theme was Pm Always Chasing Rainbows. And now, our last year in good old S.H.S. there are twenty-six of us. Roger Kelley was elect- ed as our presidentg Evert Payton, vice-president, and Arlene N ebeker, secretary and treas- urer. Mr. Harrell Thorne is our capable advisor again this year. The theme of our Senior Ball held on November 22, 1946, was Winter Wonderland. Not to be forgotten was our senior sneak, March 14, 15, and 16. The gallant seniors spent these exciting three days in Salt Lake City. The carnation was selected as our class flower, and blue and gold are the class colors. As we part ways we wish to leave our class motto in the minds of those who follow us. Prepare for the worst Hope for the best.
