upon 1ts star studded career under 1ts frrst drrector Mrs Rachel Dlllenbeck In that sunny Kmdergarten room we busrly cut out paper dolls ch1rped our ABC and thrrlled to the adventures of Ltttle Black Sambo Durtng these frrst rew years under M1ss Shaw Mrs Robyn and Mrs Sutton we were blxss fully unaware of anythtng except Valenttne s day Ea ter bunn1es Chr1st mas partles hrkes to Lauver s woods and the mult1pl1cat1on tables When we entered the tntermedtate grades we were shocked to learn that teach ers really drdn t have eyes tn the backs of the1r heads at all Wtth our pre adole cent sptrtts hovermg among the rooms of Mrs Cooley Mlss O Brlen and Mtss Conlon we forttfted our growlng supply af knowledge wlth more advanced sub1ects Durmg our sojourn 1n the Stxth Grade we found a new delrght 1n sl1d1ng down the back statrs bann1ster wtthout bemg caught by Mr Brshop The next year we met the demands whlch entrance tnto the Iuntor Hrgh made upon us wlth a dtgntty bettttmg our elevated rank The hlgh hghts of those two years were the heated arguments dur1ng Mrs Harps Hlstory class and the Chrrstmas parttes whtch both Mrs Harp and Mr Broomheld arranged for us lt was dur1ng those years that we frrst be came entangled 1n the wtles of Regents However we all survtved and a few of us were allowed to enter Hrgh School as sub Freshmen dur1ng the last half of our Etghth Grade year So after nme years of rtstng fame and sktll ln the noble arts of readtn wr1t1n and r1thmet1c we moved from Set B fGrammar Schoolj to Set A ff-hgh School Durmg that frrst momentuous year Mtss Btesada and Mr Mark ably' gulded us 1n our attempts to appear as sophtstlcated as our Upperclass men The event whtch h1ghl1ghted our Freshman year was a h1lar1ous scavenger hunt Such scarce thtngs as a horsehalr and a red rose ln full bloom flt was late September were on the l1st of arttcles to be found Our Sophomore year was another step up the ladder of success Wtth the help of our advtsors M1ss Shortall and Mr Turner we held weekly charm classes dur1ng whtch we pohshed off the last traces of chlldhood Th1s year was not marked by any great success and we passed quletly on mto our lumor year Our Iumor year found us very energetrc under two new dlrectors Mls Rentschler and Mr McKerr Our Vtc dances were one of our greatest ac comphshments Several members of the Class who were 1n the Band went to Atlant1c Clty to the Nattonal contest and upon recountmg the1r trlp were the envy of the rest of the Class At graduatlon t1me we sponsored a plc mc to Owasco Park for the Sentors and we also followed the old school tradrtton of decorattng the gym for the1r graduatton act1v1t1es As we approached the fnal step toward our trlumphant goal we shared our successes w1th M1ss Greeno and Mr Woods our last dtrectors Some outstandmg h1ts of the year were the sellmg of Chrrstmas wreaths school p1ns and candy Our basketball dances provlded amusement not only for us the Stars but also for our Underclassmen Through the cooperatlon of the student body and the townspeople our Vtctory Garden Ball was a great soclal lf not frnanctal success Our fmal productton Aaron Shck From Punkm Creek was a box offrce sell out W1th hard work and much burnlng of the rmdntght otl we accompl1shed our atm Although we lost several members of our Class durmg the years we have ga ned others to f1ll the1r places Of the
