The Senior Play, l938 Cast Mrs lean Rhodes second wife ot Mark Rhodes Helen Chesney Laura Rhodes Iean s step daughter Satone Stoddard Lela Sayles a trained nurse Margaret Bliss Miriam Booth a secretary Lillian VanEtten Harriet Forbes maid of all work Betty Datthyn Ioseph Kennedy a detective Charles Morgan Ned Carruthers an attorney George Childs lack Page Laura s fiancee Roy Farnsworth Darrel Carson Lauras invalid cousin Iohn Gilligan Victor LaValle a neighbor Merman Mansfield 0 The Phantom Bells are located in the walls of Mark Rhodes untenanted house find footprints in the dust there they be come frightened Mr Rhodes who is in Europe sends a Slfl OOO check to them by his attorney and this tear turns to amaze ment Then a detective appears who re ports that Mark Rhodes could not possibly have telephoned instructions to deliver the check since he is dead Iack Page arrives in a battered state after he has oeen beat en bound and gagged by an unknown ad versary The subsequent mystery present ed by the occurrence ot these events is heightened by the appearance ot the ec centric Darrel Carson and his engaging young nurse At anv minute more thrills and scares could be expected from the own shadow She sees twice as many specters as any one else and screams with increa ing vigor at each apparition The member ot the cast rendered tine performances both on Thursday November 4 and Friday November 5 Worthy ot mention were the portrayal ot the oliicious detective the tlighty but well meaning maid ot all work the tvto love birds and the scheming stepmother To the director Mr Hender on we ex tend our sincerest thanks Betty Datthyn O O I I O , - - - I .,..
