0 The P T A has many times proved 1ts value and the necessity for its existence by its support of school activities Two suc ce ful card party and dance combination were held and the profits turned over im mediately to the music department of the school The importance of dental hygiene has been realized and the P T A backed an investigation through the school and took care of those who needed attention Another hilarious Christmas party was held for the high school -and what fun the P T A genially provided and served supper to the participants from five neigh boring schools The Shortsville l-ligh School 1 con cou of all that this organization ha done and wishes to extend its appreciation to the members and to the officers Tracy lfdmonds president I W Turner vice pre ident Miss Beisada secretary and Miss Marian Conlon trea urer l I L The Twm Cities Lions Club 0 One of the leading civic organizations and one which has done a great deal for the school is the Twin Cities Lions Club. ln addition to being a public-minded group the Club has had the welfare of the S. H. S. pupils at heart. Two song festivals were held in the school auditorium and the profits were generously given for dental work necessary to the pu- pils of the school. In addition, many pairs of needed glasses were provided and some clothing was furnished. The executive committee of the Lions Club is composed of: A. M. Bennett, pres- identg Dr. M, R. Blakeslee, first vice-presi- dent, A. T. Bishop, second vice-president, I. W. Turner, third vice-presidentg Cecil G. Runyon, secretary, and Floyd Wood, treas- urer. The . .
