Camera Club Perhaps the most outstandmg accompllshment IU the l-l1qh School thls year alonq the hne of clubs was the orgam atlon of the Camera Club After the cornpletlon of the darkroom by three of the older members md the ady1sor th1ngs went along smoothly VN h1le the darkroom w as st1ll under con struct1on the fOllOXKlI'lQ OEICCFS were elected Henry l'l1n Presldent Charles Preston Vlce Pres1dent Blazey Faculty Advlsor Later m the year Robert Lexus res1gned and Harold Quayle was elected to H11 h1s place After makmg arr angements wnth the other clubs we flnally decided to hold regular meetlngs each Vytd nesday durmg the Sth per1od At the first meetmg It was dec1ded to charge dues of hye cents a week to coyer the cost of yarlous materxals for the dark room As the club progressed a number of younger students expressed des1res to jom our group and on careful cons1derat1on all were admltted Several meetxngs were tiken up 1n acqua nt1ng them wlth methods As the club progressed enlargxng arranger ent md contrast mstructlons were glyen at the mcemgs ln order to ralse extra funds the club sponso ed two movles The Iron Duke and Pecks Bad Boy Another hlghlrght was the trlp to the photography exhlblt IH Rochester thxs Spr1ng shots taken by the Camera Club members was placed on dlsplay ln the Study Hall At the regular meetlng the members yoted the best snapshot and the best t1me exposure and a DTIZC of two weels dues was g1ven the owner Varlety and candor made the board a much look ed forward to event An lnterestxng study of lenses shutters and other mtrrcate camera parts was taken up thls sprmg Thanks to the Board of Educat1on Prmcxpal Iohn VV Turner and the student body the club ended the year yery successfully ' Az ' . .. . 1 ' . 2 1: f Q ' .
