Weekends Weekends, the crazy time of the week where you can stay out late without having to rise bleory eyed to a 7130 alarm and a day of school. Ridgers, like every high school student in the good old U.S. ot A., use this time wisely. Divesting themselves of their scholarly responsibilities the students slide into their casuals and head for what- ever pleasure awaits them. For some it's blue jeans and an old sweater as they drovvn out the week with the mellovvness Cor rowdinessb of the much awaited party. For others it's dancing shoes and that fam- ous 'lFever as they groove to the moving sounds of the disco jam The more spirited break out the blue and white and head for the nearest Shortridge athletic event to show they believe the Devils can do it Last but always the least popular is the weekend Job Whether its scolding your hands washing dishes or selling someone something that everyone must have one of the weekend Job for many is a necessi ty But never fear the worker gets his wages and there s always that weekend off to make up for it So whether it be the Live At SHS party life, the disco dance, the game ofthe week or the labor grind, rest assured that the students of SHS make their weekends live. As Junior Janet Molzan said, Week- ends are a time to relax and not worry about all the stuff l need to do.
