BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS GET ACQUAINTED and work out problems with their Little Brothers and Sisters as they drink Cokes. Now in its third year, the Big Brother-Big Sister program continues its efforts to help the freshman be- come more quickly and easily oriented to the Shortridge way of life. The program was organized so that each of this year ' s 115 big- brothers and big-sisters has from two to five little brothers and sisters under his wing. The three student coordina- tors, Jennie Lowe, Alfred Edyvean, and Arniece Russell, under the super- vision of Thomas Preble, faculty ad- viser, assigned the families. By bring- ing the participants of the program together at the welcoming tea and several Coke parties throughout the year, the coordinators hope to start a relationship which will develop into a big family — the Shortridge family. The American Field Service spon- sors a program of exchange students to promote understanding among people. While attending Shortridge, Felipe Caicedo from Call, Colombia, is living with the Nolans.
