Anywhere, everywhere is an individ- ual massed with the rest yet seeking to strip away the facade of group identification and discover himself. Realizing that a long day of study and discipline is not entirely conducive to the development of self-willed indi- viduals, Shortridge encourages each student to seek, to find . . . himself.
