Summer . . . a signal of the end of the school year . . . the time of relaxing and catching up. Bright, glaring, blue 'and alabaster, the sky stares down upon us. The green of the leaves makes the possibility of study very remote. After a week or so of absolute repulsion toward any sort of mental exercise, we begin to concern ourselves with finding a warm- weather occupation. Those with ambition enough to re- main for summer school struggle with Poe and participles, and teachers and students alike mop their brows in the heat. Others, who favor money in lieu of credits, forsake leisurely hours in the pool for more lucrative hours on the iob.
