Winter s Brlskness Revlves Energy Rattling window panes and tossing barren branches, raw winter wind whips our hair and numbs our hands, feet, and cheeks. Booted, mittened, and scarved, we slip and slide down side- walks glazed with ice. While Tracking Through newly-fallen snow, we often duck to avoid being plopped in the head by a rock-hard snowball. In anticipation of Christmas vacation, school assumes a decorative air with the appearance ot ornaments, wreaths, and the Student Board tree, Signifying the transition from football to basket- ball season, pep sessions move in- doors as temperatures drop to a pro- hibitive low. FAR LEFT-Players engage in a spirited game as Hoosier Hysteria comes to Shortridge. LEFT--Concentrating on each note, Jeri Bastin sings in the music departments yearly Christ- mas concert. ABOVE-Seniors enioy ice cream and cookies at their Christmas party in the gym.

Bloom With Activities W . .., MQW, V QM N615-UBRH ,Y 'Nwwnmw Warm, gentle breezes waft softly through musty corridors while billowy clouds, aloft in a pale blue sky, beckon us to contemplation. Trees and flowers budding to vibrant bloom surround us in dazzling color. Spring, the season of new life, engulfs and tempts us. We burst forth, eager to share Nature's renaissance and to abandon responsi- bility. Sauntering home, warmed by sunshine or soaked by a sudden shower, we shift our thoughts to spring sports, white dinner iackets and long, enchanting formals, the promise of summer and relaxation, and the fleet- ing days left in which we must fulfill the year's work. LEFT-Juniors enjoy their picnic held after a wet, but profitable car wash. LOWER LEFT-With the last deadline completed, ANNUAL staffers take a breather at Chef.
