Seniors Dedieate Annual For Robert C. Grubbs, November 30, 1962, began like most school days. Robert Shultz, principal, had asked Mr. Grubbs to leave his third hour chemistry class to examine', some wiring on stage. He was seriously looking at the wir- ing when Bobbie Baldwin, Annual editor, completed her speech to the senior class by saying, HAS a teacher at Shortridge since 1927, the dedicatee has made terrific con- tributions to the school and the nation through his outstand- ing knowledge of his field-science. Robert Grubbs is one of the truly great Shortridge teachers . . .H At this point, the applause broke out. Mr. Grubbs, sur- prised and smiling, walked out as the senior class stood in ovation.
