We remember those who helped to make und keep the Shortridge tradition. cz tradition zrhic-Iz has known teachers who gave of fhC7lZS6'll'CS for the good of the school and its students. A sparkling conversationalist, a stimulating teacher, a gay companion, a good friend-these help to typify Miss Margaret Montgomery. Her friends-and they were many-could testify to her originality, her love for beauty, her interest in anything new, her tact, her wonderful com- panionship. Truly our lives are brighter for having known her vibrant personality. All Shortridgers mourn the loss of such L1 vital, intelligent, versatile, sincere person as was Miss Ruth Lewman. Sympathetic to stu- dents with problems, she initiated and spon- sored remedies. Alert and interested in many different things, she seemed to have an in- huustable fount of enthusiasm: she inspired through example. We shall miss her. 97
