His personal in- terest in the students and the school is shown by the many extras our popular principal has added to his regular duties as head of the teaching staff. Dr. Hull is chairman of the Curriculum Committee of Indi- ana High School Principals and a member of the Curriculum Committee of the National As- sociation of High School Princi- pals. Filling out college recommen- dation blanks is only One of Dr. Hull's many contacts with Short- ridge students. He acts in an ad- visory capacity for students and their parents in program plan- ning, vocational opportunities, and personal problems. Inter- viewing war veterans interested in high school credits has also been one of Dr. Hull's extras To further the prestige of Shortridge High School and to fully prepare her students for life in a peaceful World is Dr. Hull's goal as principal. Each semester students check their programs with busy vice- principal Joel W. Hadley, who straightens out classes and acts as disciplinarian for Shortridge. Sponsor of the senior class, he also meets parents and students in an advisory capacity. In charge of the' Shortridge budget administration and the purchasing Of instructional sup- plies, Theodore Van Voorhees, vice-principal, also helps boys and girls solve their problems and take advantage of the many opportunities offered at Short- ridge.
