A light, but stubborn Cathedral team caught Shortridge on an off Monday with unexpected opposition via the air g nevertheless Stone, Allerdice, and Hiram Rogers hit pay dirt for a 20 to 6 victory. Five strings of Shortridge athletes ran wild against. an out-classed Broad Ripple squad and racked up a 46-13 triumph, to set the stage for the all-important Tech encounter. On Friday afternoon, November 13. Shortridge engaged their iinal obstacle for a perfect season at the Eastside plant in a City Championship battle with their an- cient rival. Tech. No loyal Shortridge rooter or player will soon forget the brilliant run- ning of Allerdice. or our powerful, hard fighting line holding the Big Green on the two yard stripe in the waning minutes of a hectic fourth quarter, to protect a three point margin. The final score was Shortridge 9. Tech 6.

RESERVES Coach Fred Knute Rouch's re- serve squad concluded their three game card, undefeated, untied, and unscored-upon. The Blue Devil under- studies vanquished Manual 20 to 0, and routed the Washington and Tech seconds with identical 7-0 counts. Charles Hawthorne and John Meyer shared scoring honors in the back- field while Bernie Berger, Dick Sut- ton, and Jim Davis were outstanding on the line. FROSH The Blue Imps, under the new direction of Paul E. Dill. won two games and lost four. In their debut, the Rhinies edged Washington 8-6. The following week, they fell to Broad Ripple 18-0 and lost to Wash- ington 7-0, A well-earned 7-6 victory over the Tech yearlings climaxed the season, before they bowed to South- port, 20-14, and dropped a 14-13 de- cision to Cathedral. Arthur Fleck led the frosh with 40 markers from his fullback post, and Bill Reel, Dave Haggard, and Jim Rice were stellar members of the forward wall. FOOTBALL Front row: VV. Hall, B.
