Your interest in the discovery of truth, especially of the larger truth that shall make men free, your devotion to the highest standards of worthy effort and of honorable achieve- ment, and your willingness to become the servants of great causes will remain con- stant in our appreciation. You may be sure, therefore, that as you leave this Hill Top, our abiding interest will follow you into your chosen field of life work. This generation needs the type of trained and constructive leadership which you possess. You will soon take your place in the ranks of our Alumnae. Along with them, it will be your privilege to exemplify the principles which have characterized our community life here; the virtue of hard work, the spirit of fair play, of tolerance and of open-mindedness, faith in the triumph of social justice over individual selfishness, and a belief in the divine joy of living, here and hereafter. As often as you can, come back and renew the happy associations of these four years. May the Seniors of 1935, because of their four years of work and play on Shorter Hill, have the rich, full lives possible for the college women of today. MILDRED R. The most sacred of the traditions of the Whoop- ' Em-Up generation the Junior-Fresh- man Wedding was begun in the year 1924-25. The ceremony, which is performed every two years, symbolizes the union of these two classes in loyalty, devotion, and sisterhood.
