In the field of fine arts are Mr. Ray Gafney, head of the music departmentg Miss lane Holly- man who conducts the orchestrasg Miss Mar- guerite House, the Mixed chorus and glee clubs, Mr. Sandy Smith, the bands, and Miss Dorothy Enerson who teacher piano. Miss Elise Iohann teaches the art work and assists with Dramatic club productions. Weak The 1944 track was strong in the high hurdles, sprints, and broad jump, but lacking distance men and outstanding performers in the field events, the Greyhounds were unable to rank higher than fourth in the suburban conference Outclassed in league competition, the cinder- men took fourth place in the suburban relays, fourth place in the sextagonal meet in Racine, and won another fourth in the pentagonal com- petition at Wauwatosa.
