Eric Alexander, senior class president, stops Mrs. Lois Hopkins, class adviser, outside her homeroom to ask advice concerning the bottle drive. This drive raised money to buy supplies for the Potluck Dinner. 6Denotes Honor Society From left, Pat Johnson, vice- president, Elizabeth Dowdy, secretary, and Kathy Hanson, treasurer, discuss plans for the Potluck Dinner held February 21, 1964. The all-school dinner, sponsored by the senior class, was held to raise money for the student body fund to buy band uniforms. Smallest Class To Graduate In Four Years Leaves SHS The class of 1964 is the smallest to graduate from Shoreline since 1960, its members have taken many diverse pathways. Nevertheless, they reflect upon many proud and worthwhile accomplishments made during their stay. With Mrs. Lois Hopkins, adviser, and Mr. Richard Boytz, counselor, the class became acquainted with the traditions of Shoreline in its sophomore year. It became the first sophomore class to have a full slate of officers instead of a single representative. These officers organized the class, and by january the sophomores sponsored a sock hop for the entire student body. The following year, the class of '64 presented Shoreline with a new Rugby Cup, which it promptly won at a spring pep assembly. Its Junior Prom, C'est Magnifiquef' was presented Dec. 1, 1962 in the school auditorium. During Campus Day activities in May the juniors placed second to the seniors in over-all points. Thus, the class of '64's junior year at Shoreline came to a close. As seniors, led by Eric Alexander, Pat johnson, Elizabeth Dowdy and Kathy Hanson, class members assumed the role of school leaders. The class began its third year at Shoreline by winning the activity card sale with 92 per cent, thereby retaining the Cove. In competition for the Rugby Cup, the class was victorious at the first after-school pep assembly. The seniors sponsored an all-school assembly in February featuring a skit, with Shoreline's Beatles, who advertised the Potluck Dinner. The seniors added to their numerous memories by attending The Twelfth of Never, the Senior Ball, held May 50, 1964, at the University of Washington HUB. Senior activities were brought to a close with the Senior Breakfast, The Last Roundup. The year ended with a brief pause at the door of Hec Edmundson Pavilion as each graduate approached the future.
