Both were yielding and both were young, Their lives on earth had iust begun. They came to earth at the command of Thee, To fulfill their purposes faithfully. They fulfilled these purposes. They did their best So the Lord has called them to the Land of Rest. What were their purposes? He can say. Let's ask the Lord! Let's kneel and pray. Please help us, Dear Lord, to understand, Why, so soon, they passed to Thy Holy Land. This, Dear Lord, is our simple prayer, In memory of those youths, so fair. by Carol Curtis I f 2' Q 5 new K K I 5 i I X, fl f, Q. r 'llf' ' Qs , 1 as. Q 'O Mage. 4 , - , 4-V-. 1 V . Do you think what the end of a perfect day Can mean to a tired heart, When the sun goes down with a flaming ray And the dear friends have to part? Now, this is the end of a perfect day, Near the end of a lourney too, But it leaves a thought that is big and strong With a wish that is kind and true. For mem'ry has painted this perfect day With colors that never fade, And we find, at the end ofa perfect day, The soul of a friend we've made. - Carrie Jacobs Bond I X! 3 , 1' .sll -if . . . Leading them were Dick Adams as Presi- dent, Ed Alsman as Vice-President, Cathy Wales as Secretary, and Elsie Kinney as Treasurer. Much of the Juniors' success was due to the wonderful advice given by Mr. Doane Blair, their class adviser. As this was the first year that the Juniors became organized as a class, they did an outstanding iob making a path of traditions which will be followed by many Juniors to come. The vigorous campaign for officers was made colorful by many posters. : Q-lm T .AORN XG as X 'gnu gg Xl EN Kun--K ,,.-A5 Ae xx --A T l ,.
