HIGHO THE FUT RE avinghto fill six spots from last year's squad, Coach Barry Majorwicz faced an almost im- possible task when coupled with the move to AAA, and having to control the IV team as well. But he managed to provide comfortable and entertainini rela- tions between imself and his charges. Denise Green with a baseline drive. Denise was voted the Most Improved player on the team this year. By just looking at the record and saying the season was a isap- pointment would be ike-judging a book by the cover. Winning was non-existent on the court, but was to be found everywhere off it. The team learned to deal with adversity, and had a lot of fun laying schools they hadlnever played before. Claudine Manio gets some helpful advice on her overhead smash from Mr. Majorowicz. the hoys varsity hasketlrall learn had a very close running season this year. Most of their games were back and forth battles, As an example, in the Snohomish game on jan. 22, the team was counting on a sure win. The Scots were ahead 54 to 50 at the half. As the end grew closer the score tied. the game was full of ex- citement as the crowd was giving their total support. Everyone in the gym was fired up, but unfortunately the mighty Scots were not victorious. the season was a peuuliar one if anything. lihey had an incident at Mariner lligh School during the A.l. Karlberg assurm-s position for his perfect pass. HI HBO DERS scond period of play. With only two minutes until half time, the gym went into complete darkness. Due to the stormy weather, the power failure forced the game to be rest heclulerl the following evening. The team tried very hard, made an aggresive effort, and maintained hi 'h spirit over the whole season. The young players are eagerly looking forward to next years season.
