First Thursday, the monthl tour of one of Seattle's art galleries, was one of the most popular aspects of the program, stated Stacy Kovats. Other activities included sponsoring an art show at SC every year, and displaying their projects around sc ool in the display areas. In addition, they also tackle some very toufgh pro- jects using the latest me ia and techniques. An additional part of the Fro- gram gets the students invo ved with some of the elementary schools in art appreciation by going to the schoo s and helping the teachers during the schedul- ed art time for their classes. The Vocational lndustrial Clubs of America iV.l.C.Ai is an organization for students interested in such areas as drafting, architectural elec- tronics, or leadership posi- tions.,The Club holds com- petitions in different areas HI regional or even national recognition. The Club has gained more members this year and Damien Harris felt that everyone's skills are a lot stronger this'year and with many returning members V.l.C.A. will go far this year. The highlight of the year was a large potluck dinner organized by Mr. Langley, the Adviser. In addition to sampling some great international dishes, the potluck gave the students cw ITS HOMECOMING TIME AROUND an opportunity to meet the Shoreline area foreign exchange students, which included a visiting basketball team from Mexico.
