HIGH LEAPS Susan Schoeld shows how much energy is needed to execute the difficult and demanding moves of modern dancing. l .Si . -3 E Qs . 1 '10 f Once a ain Ms. Pam Lyons directed Smis year's Shoreline Repertory Dance Theatre. Split- ting their four night a week prac- tices between Shorecrest and Shorewood, President Andrean- na Brown summed up their ex- periences this way: lt was fun, we were like members of a family. Michelle Cenereau, Mike Peck, Dave Kenney, and Andreanna Brown pair up for an exciting routine. The team visited Shorewood to perform Michael lackson's Bad for assemblies, and also did hour shows at lunch featur- ing the latest popular music, as well as solos by each member of the troup. From june 17-23, the team went to New York City to learn more about dance and to perform. Stated Ms. Lyons: l think that we had quite a suc- cessful year considering the small number of dancers that 'oined this year. Although few but talented, the show went on. IKUU D iu:....,...,. The Cosmetology class made their way from the halls of Shorecrest to Shoreline Community College for two hours each day. The students learned valuable skills such as how to properly cut hair, make-up techniques, HI H FASHIO manicures, how to create new nails, and how to style hair. Instead of two more years of schooling to train for their profession, the Cosmetology students are able to go to work im- mediately after high school.
