FLYING HI lub DECA fever hit in October durin the opening of the schoci store, The Kilt. The 30 members spent weeks get- ting ready for the grand ofpening. ln preparation, the store was ully stock- ed with almost every kind of pop and candy around. DECA students were res onsible for managing, stocking, an patiently waiting on students dur- ing! Tag, both lunches, and after sc ool. Being in DECA- wasn't all fun and games. It required that each member old a part-time job and work up to 200 hours each semester. They also had to work in The Kilt for 100 minutes each, quarter. ln class, assignments were included as well. DECA students traveled to New York in December for a fashion mer- chandisin seminar. In February they sponsorec? the school's forma tolo. Advised by Mr. Moore, this year's Club DECA proved to be very organized in successfully running T e Kilt all year. They played at many events, such as pep assemblies, special perfor- mances, and games.
