Satisfied with their performance during a pep assembly, the flag girls return to the bleachers. ong before the 1987-88 school year began, the Flag Team was ard at work. The 22 girls went ,to camp at PLU, where they not only won a team trophy for their quickness in learning routines, but also walked away with the camp spirit stick. These awards showed early the strength and skill of these performers. They also erformed in several parades, including one in the summer or Fircrest Schoo . ln the Spring, they went with the Marching Band on their trips. The squad was dedicated, con- stantly practicing their routines for the many assemblies, football games, and basketball games throughout the school year. Led by Captain Lori Cook and Co- Captains Katie Dilworth and Amy Shanahan, this year's squad was one of Shorecrest's bestl Flag Team

HIGH PIRITED fter last year's transition, our cheerleaders wanted Shorecrest to feel unified and like one again. They worked very hard to regain the spirit lost in the past year. The squad was made up of 14 girls, with only 4 being returns. They spent a week at camp during the summer, winning the Leadership Pennant and many blue ribbons for their cheering. When they weren't cheering for our football and basketball teams, they were always supporting all the other activities at school. Once again they performed during Husky Band Day with our Marching Band. Their success was well earned by their constant practicing, spirit, and dedication to being the best.
