In the beginning Earth was formed. Upon this sphere man had his beginning. Man sim- ilar to you and me but not as advanced, educated, or civilized. Man has journeyed far from primitive thinking to computerized technology, creating an easier life seeking answers to the many mysteries that confront us. And man will continue to progress, build, and conquer the unknown. We are all part of a super generation. Never before has mankind had a higher standard of living. Yet, as we wake from our soft beds inside our electrified homes, life passes by outside those shielding windows. The sun rises and warms the air. The birds sing inthe gracious abundance of trees that stand so proudly in our area. But did you ever stop to think what it would be like waking to see no trees, or birds, or even your hand stretched out in front of you. Do you see all the factories and automobiles spewing their impurities into our air? Have you ever taken a moment to ponder upon the wastes that are dumped into our waters - or of our diminishing supply of natural resources. What are we doing to improve these degrading elements in our society? lt is now our turn to solve these mysteries previous generations have plagued us with. What kind of a world do you want to pass on to our children's generation? As we step from this institution to our future, let us all show a bit more concern, respect and love to our natural surroundings, our Earth, and most of all - each other. Stan
