Putting a clarinet under one arm, he takes a black music stand in either hand and leaves the gymnasium tor the band room, As he walks, he whistles snatches ot a song the orchestra has just been playing at the assembly, With the Fall and Thanksgiving assembly behind them the orchestra was ready-to begin prac- ticing tor the Spring and Christmas con- certs, in Kismet, and at a variety ot special appearances. Under the direc- tion ot Mr. Thomas Rodrigue the orches- tra did a tine iob ot presenting pieces suited to every taste. Uniforms for the 65 members were purchased this year. The boys wore dork green blazers and the girls had wool dresses of the same color which they made themselves.
